Tharik Hussain
Tharik Hussain is an author, travel writer and journalist specialising in Muslim heritage and culture. He is the current recipient of the British Guild of Travel Writers' Adele Evans Award for his book, Minarets in the Mountains; A Journey into Muslim Europe, which was also shortlisted for the 2022 Edward Stanford Travel Book of the Year and longlisted for the 2021 Baillie Gifford Prize in nonfiction.
Ruth Ellen Gruber
Ruth Ellen Gruber has written on Jewish issues for more than three decades and directs the web site www.jewish-heritage-europe.eu. Her books include “Virtually Jewish: Reinventing Jewish Culture in Europe;” “National Geographic Jewish Heritage Travel: A Guide to Eastern Europe”; and “Upon the Doorposts of Thy House: Jewish Life in East-Central Europe, Yesterday and Today.” Her awards and honors include a Guggenheim Fellowship and Poland’s Knight's Cross of the Order of Merit.
