On Thursday, May 7, Fondazione dell’Albero d’Oro hosts Time Unfolds, a series of three musical performances dedicated to the theme of time, explored through the richness of Indian musical traditions.
Throughout the day, voices and instruments engage in a dialogue between memory, rhythm, and spirituality, weaving together repertoires inspired by Rabindranath Tagore, ghazal, semi-classical music, percussion, folk traditions, and classical Indian instruments.
Each performance is free and lasts approximately 45 minutes.
A musical journey where time unfolds through memory, silence, and storytelling. The first section draws on the evocative music of Rabindranath Tagore; the second, Samay ki Dhaara (“The Flow of Time”), presents a ghazal and semi-classical experience where past and present meet in quiet harmony.
A vibrant dialogue of rhythm and tradition. Tabla, ghatam, veena, and mridangam transform rhythm into memory, movement, and breath, revealing time not as something measured, but as something deeply experienced.
A performance that explores time as both lived experience and spiritual dimension. Through shehnai, flute, tabla, mridangam, keyboard, and vocals, the music moves from the immediacy of the present toward a broader, transcendent space.
