Corte del Forner

Fondazione dell’Albero d’Oro supports Corte del Forner.

Corte del Forner was founded in 2014 by a group of friends who want to help the city of Venice and who still work to organize the National Food Collection Day organized by the Food Bank Foundation. Starting November 2019 they have opened an EMPORIO DELLA SOLIDARIETÀ in premises made available by the Municipality of Venice at the former Pediatric Hospital Umberto I in Sant'Alvise (Cannaregio 3144).

The initiative responds to regional regulations and guidelines, and is aimed primarily at residents in Venice Historic Center and Islands, in conditions of real family, work, economic and/or social hardship and discomfort, for a set period of time, enough to make them more autonomous and integrated. Specifically, the families reported by the Municipal Social Services, following interviews, receive a points card, which allows them to periodically access the EMPORIO and purchase food and hygiene products for free.
