How do I get to Palazzo Vendramin Grimani?

Getting to Palazzo Vendramin Grimani is easy. Here are some directions:

From campo San Polo - 1 min
When you reach the post office, take Calle del Magazen. Access to the calle is indicated by a totem pole. Follow the calle to the Grimani bridge.

From Ferrovia/Piazzale Roma - 20 min
Vaporetto Line 1, direction Lido, stop San Silvestro.

From Tronchetto - 35 min
Vaporetto Line 2, direction Rialto, change at Rialto, Vaporetto Line 1, direction Lido, Stop San Silvestro.

Can I enter the palazzo through the water gate?

It is not possible to enter Palazzo Vendramin Grimani by its Grand Canal entrance without the consent of the Foundation.

How much does the ticket cost?

The cost of the ticket is EUR 12.50.

Are there any reductions?

There are reductions (EUR 10) for students aged 20 to 25, residents of the Veneto region, seniors over 65, teachers, accompanying persons of disabled persons, members of the Alliance Française, members of the Touring Club Italiano.
Young people under 20, accredited journalists, accompanying persons with a 100% disability, authorised guides with a licence can enter free of charge.

Where can I purchase the ticket?

The ticket can be purchased at Palazzo Vendramin Grimani ticket office or at the online ticket office.

What are the opening hours?

Palazzo Vendramin Grimani is open to the public on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays from 10 am to 6 pm.

What are the closing days?

Palazzo Vendramin Grimani is closed to the public every Tuesday and Wednesday.

Are there guided tours?

From Friday to Sunday Fondazione dell'Albero d'Oro organises two guided tours a day, at 11:00 am and 3:00 pm.
Duration of the visit: approx. 50 minutes.

Is booking necessary?

Reservation is not compulsory. It is recommended for guided tours.

Can group visits be organised?

Groups of 15 people + guide are accepted.
Access is by reservation only.
Tickets can be paid for on the spot at the time of the visit.

Reduced mobility

The palace is equipped with a lift and ramps that make it accessible to people with reduced mobility.
Access for persons with reduced mobility is via Campiello delle Erbe, 2004. Once on site, ring the intercom.

Can I bring my pet with me?

Animals are not allowed inside Palazzo Vendramin Grimani.

Can I take photos?

It is possible to take amateur photographs and videos in the spaces, except in the areas marked with the prohibition symbol.
Professional and/or commercial filming and photographic reproductions of the works must necessarily be authorised by the Fondazione dell'Albero d'Oro.

Can i leave my coat and backpack somewhere?

It is compulsory to deposit backpacks and volumious bags in the lockers available at the ticket office.
The deposit is free of charge.

Where can I purchase books from Fondazione dell'Albero d'Oro?

Books can be purchased at the Palazzo Vendramin Grimani ticket office or in the online bookshop.
